Asbestos Awareness
Fully certified by the Independent Asbestos Training Providers (IATP), our Asbestos Awareness Course provides essential training under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, which state that all employees who are liable to be exposed to asbestos must receive adequate information, instruction and training.
Regulations require employers to ensure that training is provided regularly and covers the procedures, risks, types of materials, and legal responsibilities associated with asbestos exposure. At Praxis42, we can also tailor asbestos training to your sector and employees’ roles.
Asbestos causes most work-related deaths in Great Britain, with around 5,000 people dying each year from related diseases such as mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestosis. Any building constructed or refurbished before 2000 may contain asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
