    1. Introduction 

    What ‘equality’, ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion’ mean. 

    The benefits of promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace for both employees and the organisation. 

    3. Protected characteristics 

    An overview of the nine protected characteristics stated in the Equality Act 2010 and how they apply to organisations. 

    5. Types of discrimination 

    The types of discrimination described in the Equality Act 2010, with case studies to illustrate each one. 

    7. Inclusion 

    The benefits of an inclusive workplace. 

    The eight aspects to consider to ensure an inclusive workplace, and what an inclusive workplace looks like in practice. 

    9. Employer / manager responsibilities 

    An employer’s responsibility to provide employees with training and access to relevant policies that state expected behaviours and reporting procedures. 

    An employer’s responsibility to prevent discrimination, harassment and victimisation under the Equality Act 2010, and what is meant by ‘vicarious responsibility’.

    How is it delivered?

    Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Training for Managers is delivered online or through a computer network to each trainee at their desktop, laptop or mobile device.
