Cyber Security Training for Managers

Accredited by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), cyber security training for managers ensures those who hold significant responsibility in an organisation understand the risks when working with suppliers, how to mitigate these risks and what to do if an incident occurs.

Cybercrime is growing by 15% a year and 50% of UK businesses were attacked in 2023. In the same year, data breaches cost businesses approximately £3.49 million.

Under GDPR, organisations can face substantial fines for data breaches resulting from cybercrime, so it is important that managers and stakeholders have a comprehensive understanding of cyber security.

Yes, we offer a separate Cyber Security Awareness Training for Employees course that is suitable for all employees with access to IT systems. This course helps employees understand the basics of cyber security and how to protect the organisation from potential threats.

How does this course help prevent cyber-attacks?

This course equips managers with the knowledge to identify potential vulnerabilities, improve supply chain security, and implement robust incident
response plans. By knowing how to manage and mitigate risks, managers can play
a key role in preventing cyber-attacks and reducing the impact of potential
    breaches.

How will this course help with compliance and legal obligations?

This training covers best practices for handling sensitive data and complying with regulations such as GDPR. Managers will learn how to safeguard personal and business information, reducing the risk of fines for non-compliance and ensuring robust security practices throughout the organisation.

How can this course improve our organisation’s incident response?

This course teaches managers how to develop and test incident response plans, ensuring your organisation can respond effectively in the event of a cyber-attack. With the right preparation, you can reduce the downtime and financial impact caused by breaches.

What kind of support can I expect if I encounter issues with the course?

Why do managers need specific cyber security training?

Managers have a crucial role in overseeing cyber security strategies, managing supply chains, and ensuring the organisation’s preparedness in the event of an attack. While employee training is essential, managers need deeper insights to mitigate risks, make strategic decisions, and lead incident response efforts.

We’ve never experienced a cyber-attack—why is this training necessary?

Even if your organisation has not yet been targeted, cyber threats are increasing. Training managers in cyber security ensures your organisation is proactive in preventing attacks, rather than reactive when they occur. This is a critical part of protecting your business’s finances, reputation, and legal standing.

Can this training be tailored to the needs of my organisation?

Yes, the course can be tailored to suit your organisation’s specific needs, especially in the virtual or face-to-face learning formats. This ensures that the training directly addresses the unique cyber risks your business may face.

How often should managers undergo cyber security training?

Cyber threats evolve rapidly, so it’s recommended that managers take part in cyber security training annually or whenever there are significant changes in your organisation’s cyber security infrastructure or strategy.

Is there a discount if I need to train a large team?

Yes, we offer volume discounts for businesses that need to train multiple employees. Please contact us to discuss your requirements, and we can provide pricing based on your team size.

How quickly can this training be rolled out to my team?

Once purchased, the course can be accessed immediately through our SHINE platform or integrated into your existing LMS, allowing employees to begin training right away.

Can I monitor employee progress throughout the training?

Yes, if using the SHINE platform, you can track employees’ progress, view completion rates, and download certificates for compliance records.
