The aim of the menopause course is to raise understanding of the menopause and how it should be considered in the workplace.
By the end of the course employees will be able to:

Common signs and symptoms of menopause and perimenopause. Treatments that may be taken to alleviate symptoms.
3. Is it a disability?
Legal protections for those experiencing menopause symptoms at work under employment and anti-discrimination legislation.
4. Menopause in the workplace
The ways in which menopause can affect somebody at work.
Employers’ specific responsibilities towards menopausal employees.
Employees’ responsibilities to contribute to a healthy, productive working environment for themselves and others.
5. Support
Examples of support measures that employers can put in place to help those who are experiencing specific symptoms.
6. Inclusivity
Recognising that not everyone experiencing menopause will identify as a woman. How employers can implement an inclusive approach.

Assessment
At the end of the online menopause awareness course there are 10 multiple choice questions to answer, and the pass mark is 80%.
