Conflict Resolution Training
Conflict resolution training provides employees and managers with the knowledge and skills to prevent and manage conflict in the workplace.
Workplace conflicts can happen in any organisation. 292,000 adults in England and Wales experienced violence at work in 2022/23, and an estimated 485,000 employees resign from their jobs every year due to conflict.
The total cost to the UK economy of resignations and dismissals linked to conflict is estimated to be £11.9 billion. Damaged relationships between work colleagues can also affect productivity and harm an organisation’s reputation.
Everybody, no matter what their job role, can benefit from conflict resolution training.

Conflict Resolution FAQs
Why is conflict resolution training necessary for all employees, even if they don’t manage people?
Conflict can arise in any workplace and between colleagues at any level, not just managers. This training helps employees across all roles identify potential conflicts early, de-escalate situations, and prevent workplace tensions from escalating, contributing to a more harmonious and productive environment.
Is this training relevant for remote or hybrid teams?
Absolutely. Remote and hybrid work environments can present unique challenges in communication and conflict resolution. This training helps employees recognise and resolve conflicts in virtual settings, where misunderstandings can easily occur due to limited face-to-face interaction.
Can the training be customised to address our specific workplace challenges?
Yes, we can tailor the course content to reflect your organisation’s specific conflict scenarios or industry challenges. Customisation ensures that employees receive training relevant to the situations they may face in their specific roles and environment.
What kind of support can I expect if I encounter issues with the course?
We offer full technical support to ensure a smooth experience, whether you’re using our SHINE platform or integrating the course into your LMS. Additionally, our customer support team is available to answer any questions related to course content or compliance.
What happens if someone fails the course
assessment?
Participants who don’t pass the assessment on their first attempt can review the course material and retake the assessment. The course is designed to support learning, with interactive elements and quizzes to reinforce understanding throughout.
Can conflict resolution training help prevent legal issues?
Yes, by training employees and managers to handle conflicts appropriately, you reduce the risk of situations escalating to a point where legal action may be taken, such as claims related to harassment or unfair dismissal.
How frequently should employees undergo conflict resolution training?
We recommend conflict resolution training at least every two years to ensure that employees stay up to date on best practices and that new staff members receive the same training. Regular refreshers help reinforce skills and improve communication across the organisation.
How does this training help protect personal safety in high-risk situations?
The course includes strategies for recognising early signs of aggression and practical techniques to de-escalate conflict. Employees also learn how to protect their personal safety and when to seek assistance if a situation becomes high-risk.
Is there a discount if I need to train a large team?
