I joined Praxis42 in October 2011 as a Health and Safety Advisor and worked on several key contracts. I am currently managing the contract for Carpenters Solicitors providing fire risk assessments for all their sites. My background is in building surveying and asbestos surveying. Away from work, I love cooking and socialising as well as playing most sports. I am currently training for completing my first triathlon.
Praxis42 was formed in 2001 and I am now a Non-Executive Director. Prior to this, I headed Health and Safety, Fire and Occupational Health for Cable and Wireless, a global telecommunications provider. My formative years were in the Water Industry involved in Civil Engineering and then Safety Management.
My hobbies are rowing, cycling, walking and genealogy.
Earlier this year we rescued a street dog in Greece and she then had two surprise puppies a week after she arrived and of course, we have had to keep one of them.
I was one of the founders of Praxis42 way back in 2001. Before that, I was part of the Occupational, Health, Safety and Fire department at Mercury Communications and Cable Wireless and before that a consultant at RoSPA. I have worked full-time in Fire, Health and Safety since 1985 and love working with business managers to help them make the right decisions. I am proud to be a Chartered Safety Practitioner and have seen some great strides in Fire, Health and Safety Management over my time in the profession.
The family are cat lovers and we have Ozzie aka ‘Big Boy’ and Megan aka ‘Duchess’. The picture is of Tiddles aka ‘Don’t mess with me when I get to 9 months old’!
I’m Managing Director of Digital at Praxis42 having joined way back in 2004. My area of focus is the Digital side of the business, and looking after hundreds of thousands of individual’s training needs. Before working at Praxis42 I cut my teeth in recruitment, the only industry where the product can decide to walk out on day one!
I have two little girls who keep me on my toes and a dog called Tilly who keeps me walking during cold, wet winter months. Outside of work I play lots of golf and someday I hope to be a bit less rubbish.
I started in the role of Operations Manager at Praxis42 in 2018 and was promoted to Managing Director of Consulting in January 2020.
My career is centred around occupational health and safety, where I have undertaken roles as both a consultant and in-house competent advisor.
I love the interesting places my health and safety career has taken me, from the Olympic Park, Ministry of Defence to the Gherkin. No day is the same. I am passionate about charging culture to help everyone reduce injury, ill health and loss. All of which is positive for business and society.
I love to travel and bake when I’m not in the office, and I’m a regular at my local zoo. I hope to one day have a cat around the house; however, that’s still under a long-standing negotiation.
