    Fire Safety Consultancy

    As a leading neighbourhood retailer, McColl’s recognised the importance of strengthening fire safety compliance across their UK-wide estate.

    With a newly established Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system in place, they sought a partner who could integrate seamlessly and provide expert fire safety consultancy.

    Client need

    McColl’s needed to outsource fire safety across their national network of stores, ensuring compliance with:

    • Article 9 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
    • Section 53(2)(a) of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005

    A strong cultural fit was essential. McColl’s wanted a consultancy that offered both strategic guidance and the capacity to deliver fire risk assessments across a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.

    Our solution

    Praxis42 was appointed at a strategic level to guide and support compliance efforts. We integrated directly with McColl’s CAFM system via API, streamlining the flow of fire safety data.

    Following this successful integration, Praxis42 won the national tender to conduct fire risk assessments across McColl’s 1,200 convenience stores.

    As a BAFE SP205 Life Safety Risk Assessment accredited organisation, Praxis42 demonstrated the competency and credibility required for such a critical task.
