- What to do on discovering a fire.
- How to raise the alarm.
- What to do when you hear the alarm.
- How to recognise when it is safe to tackle a fire.
Evacuation
- The phases of an evacuation and the common causes of delays.
- How to use escape routes effectively and understand different fire safety door mechanisms.
- The role of internal fire doors in preventing fire spread.
- Why lifts should not be used during an evacuation.
- Procedures for assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Different means of escape and key characteristics.
Firefighting equipment
- The different types of fires and the appropriate fire extinguishers for each.
- What to do in the event of an electrical fire.
- How to use a fire extinguisher safely using the PASS method.
- Introducing various manual and fixed fire extinguishing devices, when and how to use them, and practical fire prevention and protection measures.
At the end of the Fire Safety Awareness training online course, there are 10 multiple choice questions to answer, and the pass mark is 80%.
Who should take this course?
Our Fire Safety Training for employees is easy to follow and suitable for everyone,โฏincluding directors, supervisors and managers, team leaders, and administrative and clerical employees.
The course is ideal for new employees to increase fire safety awareness as part of their induction process.
Anyone who has been nominated as a fire warden or fire marshal can expand their knowledge and understand their responsibilities with our expertly designedโฏFire Marshal Training course.
You do not need previous or specialist knowledge to undertake Fire Safety Training.
Refresher Training
Fire safety training for employees should be refreshed at least annually. This ensures their knowledge is up to date, so they clearly know what to do in the event of a fire.
