    What our clients say

From national pub chains to global insurance, our clients value our expertise and service.

I have found the team at Praxis42 to be one of the best providers of fire risk assessments in the UK. The fire expertise, together with a robust quality assurance process, means the quality of fire risk assessments are high.

The customer services ethos of the leadership team, together with the number of directly employed fire risk assessors means Praxis42 are quick to respond and react to our changing prioritises and resourcing requirements.

Rachel Price – Director, Health and Safety Consulting UK&I at AECOM

Praxis42 have provided health, safety and food hygiene audits and risk assessments for our public house estate for nearly 10 years and visit over 3200 premises annually.

Their multi-skilled team understand what is required and apply pragmatic solutions to help us ensure compliance across the complex hospitality environment. Coupled with this they use technology to deliver and are flexible in their delivery and enable us to continuously improve our risk profile and are a pleasure to work with.

Dan Dutfield – Group Safety Manager – Ei Group

We worked with Praxis42 in August 2020 to obtain a Covid-19 Return to Work eLearning module for our staff.

The module from Praxis42 stood out from others as it delivered on all fronts: the content was excellent, it was visually engaging as a result of using the latest eLearning software and the user experience was fantastic.

William Brown – HR Manager – The Glasgow School of Art

I would have no hesitation in recommending Praxis42 and their interactive and engaging training solutions.

Ian Horsman, Head of Health, Safety and Environment at Atos UK

The compliance learning management system tracks, records and reports on the training which provides just the right level of information for me to manage completion of the programme.

Working with Praxis42 was very simple and they were helpful and professional throughout the process.

Marianne Pendray – Director of Operations, Legal and Compliance – ITV

Praxis42 were chosen after an extensive tender process earlier this year.

The quality and range of the e-learning courses, assessments and documents were excellent and the ability to tailor these to the specific needs of Hiscox customers greatly appreciated. The team has shown themselves to be highly professional, flexible and dedicated to building a long-term partnership with Hiscox and delivering a great experience to our customers.

Chris Parker – UK Underwriting Vendor Manager – Hiscox

Praxis42 understands how a compliance programme is delivered and supports me at a strategic level, with insights and help with what often appears a complex subject, with pragmatic clear guidance, advice and solutions.

Ross Warden – Retail Director – Kurt Geiger

We like working with Praxis42 as they are large enough to manage the business requirement but are small enough to ensure that there is a personal relationship to assist with dynamic situations at speed to ensure that McColl’s needs are met.

Alison Fagan – Health and Safety Manager – McColl’s

We are delighted that our partnership with the Praxis42 team has been extended for a further three years and are looking forward to working with them on the next phase of our safety journey.

    Who should take this course?

This HAVS training course is suitable for employees who use hand-held or hand-guided vibrating tools or equipment, as well as managers and supervisors responsible for managing hand-arm vibration risks.

    Course duration

HAVS Training takes approximately 25-30 minutes to complete.

    Certificate

You will receive a certificate on successful completion of the course which is downloadable as a PDF file.

    How is it delivered?

HAVS Training is delivered online or through a computer network to each trainee at their desktop, laptop or mobile device. We can also provide the course to be integrated into a SCORM compliant LMS.

Training can be completed at the employee’s own pace by “bookmarking” and recording progress and returning to the training later.

Is HAVS Training different from Vibration Awareness Training?

Yes. HAVS Training focuses specifically on hand-arm vibration and Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) and is intended for workplaces where the primary risk comes from the use of hand-held or hand-guided vibrating tools.
Vibration Awareness Training covers hand-arm vibration as well, but also includes other forms of workplace vibration, such as vibration from machinery and vehicles, making it more suitable where multiple vibration risks are present.

Is this course suitable for managers who don’t use vibrating tools themselves?

Yes. Hand-arm vibration training is suitable for managers and supervisors who are responsible for overseeing work involving vibrating tools, even if they are not directly exposed. It helps them understand risks, legal duties, and how exposure should be managed and monitored.

Does this training replace the need for HAV risk assessments or health surveillance?

No. This HAVS Training supports awareness and understanding but does not replace the need for hand-arm vibration risk assessments or health surveillance where required. It helps participants understand why these are necessary and how they fit into effective vibration risk management.

Is this course suitable as refresher training?

Yes. The course can be used both for first-time learners and as refresher training for employees or managers who already have experience of hand–arm vibration risks and need to maintain awareness and compliance.

Is this course appropriate for small businesses with limited resources?

Yes. This HAVS training course is designed to be practical and accessible, helping organisations of all sizes meet their training responsibilities without requiring specialist equipment or in-depth technical knowledge.

Does this course include clinical diagnosis of HAVS?

No. The course focuses on awareness, early symptom recognition, and reporting. It does not provide clinical diagnosis, which must be carried out by suitably qualified occupational health professionals.

Can this course be used as evidence of compliance?

Yes. Completion certificates can be used as evidence that appropriate information, instruction, and training have been provided, alongside risk assessments and other control measures.

Is the course suitable for contractors and temporary workers?

Yes. HAVS Training is suitable for contractors, agency workers, and temporary staff who may use hand-held vibrating tools and need consistent training to meet site and organisational requirements.

Does the course cover UK-specific requirements?

Yes. The training is aligned with UK legislation and reflects the requirements of the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005.

What kind of support can I expect if I encounter issues with the course?

We offer full technical support to ensure a smooth experience, whether you’re using our SHINE platform or integrating the course into your LMS. Additionally, our customer support team is available to answer any questions related to course content or compliance.

Is there a discount if I need to train a large team?

Yes, we offer volume discounts for businesses that need to train multiple employees. Please contact us to discuss your requirements, and we can provide pricing based on your team size.

What happens if someone fails the course assessment?

Participants who don’t pass the assessment on their first attempt can review the course material and retake the assessment. The course is designed to support learning, with interactive elements and quizzes to reinforce understanding throughout.

How quickly can this training be rolled out to my team?

Once purchased, the course can be accessed immediately through our SHINE platform or integrated into your existing LMS, allowing employees to begin training right away.

Can I monitor employee progress throughout the training?

Yes, if using the SHINE platform, you can track employees’ progress, view completion rates, and download certificates for compliance records.
